HeadKandy is a professional and welcoming environment for you to experience the perfect journey through the salon, whether that be hair or makeup or beauty treatments. Opened in January 2020, Headkandy hair & beauty offers a wide range of services including haircut and styling, colouring, extensions and makeup for any occasion. Beauty treatments are also available.

ABOUT Katie

It all started when Katie left school and wanted to start a career in the hairdressing industry. Katie started her career in 2006, as a little 17 year old apprentice at Essensuals in South Woodford. This was a chain of Toni & Guy Salons for the next generation, founded by Christian and Sacha Mascolo, Children of Toni Mascolo. Katie trained for 2 1/2 years as a colour technician, and in 2009 she completed her NVQ level 2 in hairdressing and as her 6 week Vardering at the Toni & Guy academy in Tottenham Court Road, London. This is where Katie received her Toni & Guy diploma and then went off to do what she loved as a new qualified technician. Katie has also worked in other Toni & Guy salons including the flagship store based in Westfield in Shepherds Bush. It was here that she coloured celebritys hair such as BBC presenter Cherry Healey and Rita Ora. She also worked in Westfield Stratford City when it first opened its doors. After Katie had her Daughter in 2014 she decided to leave Toni & Guy sadly, and decided to work closer to home working in Hornchurch. In 2018 she decided to go self employed and work free lance, which she really enjoyed but missed the salon environment. She wanted her own salon for years and decided to go for it. it took a little longer than anticipated but in January 2020 Headkandy Hair & Beauty became established and Katie successfully opened and started her dream.

Working locally and in the city, Katie has built up a trusting clientelle and is always looking forward to meeting new clients and giving them the hair that they deserve.
